Which maps should i veto as zerg

The one at your natural on pillars and gold can see your whole nat! Get the f outta here with this crap. We good? I uninstalled the game last week in a fit of rage about quite a few things. This may just put me over the edge. Do we remember the good old days of acropolis and kings cove? Those were epic maps that game epic games… sigh… I think I have vetoed almost all the last seasons maps because they are utter poop.

You realize zergs used to have to use their brain when they overlord scouted and there was actual risk to floating them around aimlessly. The issue is that you need to invest resources in tech just to be able to kill it. While the zerg needs to just float an overlord over there and they know your entire build.

Not to mention how perfectly placed they are. It makes queen transfers and spine transfers extremely slow or unviable. Slag pits isn't bad in my opinion. It's maybe a bit small but that's not a big issue. Shattered temple obviously a big improvement over lost temple. No significant issues that I see. My vetos are now : - Delta Quadrant for obvious reasons. Defending a 4gate push is so hard. Your main ramp can be forcefielded while you lose your natural expansion.. I can't imagine defending an hellion harass followed by banshees on this map, the distance between your main and your natural is HUGE, which means that you need a lot of creep tumors and time.

You can't simply run arround from one base to another with your queens. The map is not that big. I simply don't like it. I don't know much about Typhon Peaks, but it looks "OK". DQ and Typhoon for sure. As for the 3rd map, its kind of hard to say at this point. I will probably switch my veto between Slag Pit and Backwater Gulch a few times. This is mostly speculation at this point, as I have not faced these circumstances on the new maps yet.

Slag Pits looks far too small and I personally don't like the expansion distribution. Seems people have the same ideas, for the most part. Typhoon is actually pretty good for zerg in overall balance out of all the new maps. Delta Quadrant, Backwater those two without a doubt for the third, probably Slag. Do you think Gulch would be viable if it was 2 player? I keep looking at it in hopes to find something nice for zerg.. It looks like TVP only.

Before the patch, possibly Metal would be a ban, but now Stim will take 30 seconds longer, so Metal against T shouldn't be so bad all-ins etc. Like the new LT though, but yeah the distances are a bit too close. I think if they took out close-positions on Metal and LT then they would be really great air and cross only.

But ofc they have to cater to the more casual crowd too, and anyways many people like to rush so the close-distance thing is for them I guess. I got rid of Backwater, and DQ. DQ is vetoed for obvious reasons. Slag Pits was a very awkward map on the PTR and just has classic Blizzard map design written all over it. The natural is very wide and hard to defend, there are few bases available for expanding, and the third base is difficult to take and defend.

This map does little to improve upon Zerg's situation. Backwater Gulch has a very unnaturally placed natural that leaves Zerg very vulnerable early on. Likewise, your queens can't move comfortably between bases for defense until you connect with creep about 3 or 4 tumors if I recall.

I like the new LT - I didn't veto the old one because it was a good map for ZvP and ZvZ, so this new one is a big improvement overall for me. The other new map I had decent games with on the PTR, but it's not perfect for sure. I'm not a big fan of the destructible rocks and tricky-to-defend expansions, but it's a huge step above Steppes and Jungle Basin.

Backwater Gulch and slag pits seem to have so close positions when they aren't cross Then again i haven't played the maps so i don't know. Live Events Next event in 30m. Fnx Mang0 Online Event.

I'm keeping all of them atm. I usually veto if it's too large bc zvz As a Protoss I feel all Zergs should be playing Alterzim. I think Yeonsu is not very good for Zerg because the third is either separated by rocks or pretty far into the middle of the map. Also the 4th on Belshir is pretty close to the opponent which makes it easy to harass.

The other maps are alright. No wonder i get so many protoss then, i vetoed the opposite.. Yeunso is my favorite map. I love Polar Night LE, i have the best win ratio here. On November 14 SC2John wrote: I love that zerg and protoss map vetoes are like exactly the opposite hahaha.

Bel'Shir and Yeonsu are like the only maps that protoss actually feels comfortable on, while zerg players hate them with a passion. Obviously the team at Blizzard is doing their job by creating a bitter rivalry between protoss and zerg. Every time a zerg player bitches about forcefield, immortal all-ins, cannon rushes, and unstoppable laser armies, a protoss player somewhere out there is bitching about free units, impossibly fast units, a-move roaches, and mutas.

It's just the circle of life. On November 14 vOdToasT wrote: A good map pool would be a bunch of maps that are all balanced, not a slew of evenly divided imbalanced ones.

Polar night I hate that map in every single way , Yeonsu I just feel claustrophobic when I play on that map idk why maybe because of the ledges and Alterzim which I can't stand playing a ZvZ on I just get mad xD. I don't veto any maps. I don't really like the map pool too much, but it takes a lot for me to veto, and none of the maps are that bad imo.

I like Yeonsu and Derelict too much to ever veto them. Frost still gets the veto for now because its too big a map for me to manage. Live Events Next event in 30m. Fnx Mang0 Online Event. Moscow Cybersport Series.
