So they might see it as a burden. Without KBD the game would not be the same and not in a good way. The majority of players already mashing their safe strings all day. Without KBD it would be even worse because it would be all all about mashing the best plus frame moves and strings without a very good tool to punish that style of gamelay. Beside doing one KBD is not enough to punish a lot of these random executed strings started from range because they have a lot of forward movement in their animation.

I think the majority of those who are against KBD just wanna get rid of something what "don't support" their gameplay and bad habbit to mash out strings wihout getting punished while they can't find the use of this technik because they are not really good at it or they use specific characters.
