In Science this means questioning things attempt to falsify. Every discovery begins with a point for doubt. Doubt is one of the earliest ways the human beings started gaining knowledge from the world around them.
It is known that doubt is when a person starts questioning a subject that confused him or has been on his mind for a time. Then suddenly, overthinking, too much self-questioning leads to doubt. Over time, self-doubt can lead to problems with anxiety and depression, which in turn can lead to serious physical ailments like weight gain, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue and even increased mortality rates among those with heart disease.
Like many aspects of child development, self-esteem is a product of two interacting forces often described as nature and nurture.

Indeed, science is not a linear path leading from one success to another, but rather a constant reevaluation of hypotheses. Failures are part of the scientific process and should be taught along with successes. It is, therefore, not so much the content of scientific discoveries that should be highlighted, but the understanding of the scientific process itself that must be enhanced.
No one expects the public at large to fully understand all discoveries or to be able to arbitrate between possible treatments. But what must be reaffirmed is that in science, doubt is not a vulnerability but a strength.
